Earlier this year Samrong's electricity system was struck by lightning during a thunderstorm. Our inverter and battery charger was damaged beyond repair and also many of our computers needed parts to be replaced. Subsequently we decided to install a lightning protector on the roof of the new staffhouse. This is a lot safer for the kids and the equipment.

In July four children graduated successfully from secondary school. Next they will be going to the university at Phnom Penh. Toeun Theary and Chhoun Srey Van will study Hotel & Tourism, Pich Bunley will follow Hotel & Management and Ton Manita has chosen Finance & Accounting. This result makes us feel very proud and we wish them lots of success!
Last October WWCF received through Derek Lucie-Smith, chairman of The Property Race Day Event, a generous donation equaling Euro 5.180 which, as per specific donor’s request, will be spent on the Samrong generator fuel for this year.
